Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

Employees are the core of our organization

Maple Knoll Communities is committed to creating a work environment that makes people of various backgrounds feel welcome and provide them with the support to perform to the fullest of their abilities in the workplace.  From this commitment to inclusivity came the formation of the Maple Knoll Communities Employee led DEIB Committee.

The goal of the DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging) Committee is to establish a collaborative approach to achieving inclusive excellence at Maple Knoll Communities through education.

This committee provides leadership for building and sustaining a diverse and inclusive community where all individuals are appreciated and respected.  This is done through programing, informational handouts, public communications, panelists, lunch gatherings, and more!

Diversity in the workplace, means the differences in race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age and socioeconomic background.

Equity is the act of ensuring that practices and programs are impartial, fair and could provide equal outcomes for every individual.

Inclusion is the practice of making people feel a sense of belonging in the workplace.

Belonging centers around employees feeling accepted at the workplace. It makes a person feel valued and respected.

Employee Appreciation

Appreciating and unlocking your full potential

Maple Knoll Communities believes that regularly acknowledging employees and providing recognition connects employees to the organization, elevates performance, and increases the length of their employment at our community

The goal of the Employee Appreciation Team (EAT) at Maple Knoll Communities is to acknowledge the inherent value of our employees.

Instead of always focusing on performance, we celebrate their worth as a member of our team and as human beings. This is done through a variety of different ways such as: free holiday lunches, door decorating contests, gift cards, prizes, and other monetary means, all of which help us build a better team.
