Child Center
Maple Knoll Child Center is a department within MAPLE
KNOLL VILLAGE, a non-profit continuing care retirement community owned
and operated under the auspices of Maple Knoll Communities, Inc.
Purpose: Maple Knoll Child Center is a Montessori preprimary
program for children 3 through 6 years of age.
History: The Child Center was developed in 1977 as
a part of the original plans of Maple Knoll Village to integrate the
community on a generational basis to help provide a comfortable environment
where persons of varied ages could be present together.
Location: The Child Center is located on the first
floor of Bodmann Pavilion, the nursing care facility, to provide easy
access for those residents in nursing care and to respect the privacy
of the independent living residents.
Program: The Child Center program is based on the Montessori
philosophy and program of human development and education. It is a tuition-based
program enrolling children residing in the neighboring communities.
Hours: The program is in session Monday through Friday
from 8:30 to 3:30 with half day (8:30-11:30 or 12:30-3:30) and full
day (8:30-3:30) sessions. A three-week Summer Camp is offered during
June. A complete school calendar is available to better assist you.

HALF DAY PROGRAM: This program is for children 3 through 6 years of
age.
Morning (A.M.) Session: 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Afternoon (P.M.) Session: 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
FULL DAY PROGRAM: This program is for children 4 and 5 years of age,
especially Kindergarten age. Full Day Session: 8:30 a.m. until 3:30
p.m.
All sessions meet five days per week except during weeks in which holidays,
vacation, in-service days or weather emergencies occur. Scheduling variations
will be considered on a personal basis. Classes begin the last week
in August for returning students and one week later for new students.
Classes end the last Friday in May. The classes are multi-age groups
with children off all ages in each session.
Tuition:
HALF DAY PROGRAM tuition is $4153.00 for the school year averaging out
to $ 448 per month for the nine month payment plan.
FULL DAY PROGRAM tuition is $7843.50 for the school year averaging outto
$871.50 per month for the nine month payment plan
A $50.00 NON-REFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE IS DUE WITH THE APPLICATION.
